Job Description & Overview
The CSOC Manager will lead and manage the University’s Cyber Security Operations Center and oversee cybersecurity governance, threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance activities. The role ensures the protection of university information assets and coordination of cybersecurity operations across IT, CMS, and campus teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage CSOC operations and cybersecurity monitoring.
• Oversee incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
• Develop cybersecurity policies, procedures, playbooks, and SOPs.
• Conduct risk assessments and coordinate remediation of security vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate cybersecurity activities with IT, CMS, and campus teams.
• Prepare incident and cybersecurity risk reports for university leadership.
• Lead cybersecurity awareness and training initiatives.
Requirements
• Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in cybersecurity or security operations, including leadership experience.
• Preferred certifications: CISM, CISSP, CEH, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor.
The Terminal Degree shall be arrested from HEC
