Air University invites applications from motivated and technically competent MS students for engagement as an MS Research Student in the area of Computer Vision, Eye Tracking, IoT, and Physiological Data Acquisition under an HEC-funded research project.

“Humanistic Smart Transportation Prototype for Islamabad: Using Sensory, Neuro and Digital Marketing Interventions for Sustainable and Safer Urban Mobility”

The project is funded under the National Research Program for Universities (NRPU), HEC, and involves interdisciplinary research focusing on sensory, neuro, behavioural, digital marketing, and sustainable urban mobility interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and setup of Tobii eye-tracking equipment.

• Performing eye-tracker calibration and ensuring proper participant setup.

• Conducting gaze-data acquisition during research experiments.

• Using Tobii Pro Lab for eye-tracking data management and analysis.

• Generating heat maps and other eye-tracking visualizations.

• Supporting attention analysis based on gaze and eye-tracking data.

• Synchronizing eye-tracking data with other experimental data sources.

• Setting up and acquiring GSR (Galvanic Skin Response) data.

• Supporting heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV) recording.

• Monitoring signal quality during data acquisition and resolving basic technical issues.

• Supporting the integration and synchronization of physiological sensors with eye-tracking systems.

• Assisting with data organization, preprocessing, visualization, and analysis.

• Maintaining research equipment and ensuring proper functioning of devices.

• Supporting hardware installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and routine equipment maintenance.

• Assisting the research team during participant-based experiments and field/laboratory data collection.

• Being willing to travel between Islamabad and Kharian for project-related research activities when required.

• Performing other technical and research-related tasks assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Eligibility & Required Skills

• Currently enrolled in an MS program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field.
