Air University invites applications from highly motivated, research-oriented, and competent candidates for the position of Research Assistant under an HEC-funded research project.

“Humanistic Smart Transportation Prototype for Islamabad: Using Sensory, Neuro and Digital Marketing Interventions for Sustainable and Safer Urban Mobility”

The project is funded under the National Research Program for Universities (NRPU), HEC, and involves interdisciplinary research focusing on sensory, neuro, behavioural, digital marketing, and sustainable urban mobility interventions.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator and research team and will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of research activities.

• Conducting quantitative and qualitative research activities.

• Developing, adapting, and administering questionnaires, interview protocols, observation tools, and other research instruments.

• Conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection through surveys, interviews, observations, and other appropriate methods.

• Performing quantitative data cleaning, coding, statistical analysis, and interpretation.

• Conducting qualitative data coding, categorization, thematic analysis, and interpretation.

• Assisting in literature searches, literature reviews, and synthesis of relevant academic research.

• Managing, organizing, and maintaining research datasets and project documentation.

• Assisting in the preparation of research reports, manuscripts, presentations, and other academic outputs.

• Supporting fieldwork and project-related data collection activities.

• Coordinating with research team members and other stakeholders involved in project activities.

• Participating in online/remote research activities and meetings when required.

• Being willing to travel between Islamabad and Kharian for project-related fieldwork, meetings, data collection, and other research activities when required.

Eligibility & Required Competencies

• PhD students or candidates who have completed MS/MPhil in a relevant discipline such as Business Management, Psychology, Social Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Marketing, Data Science, Transportation/Urban Studie
